Why I created Lifelong Yoga Online

Over my decade-plus journey as a yoga teacher, I noticed something that troubled me: so many people were missing out on the life-changing benefits of yoga simply because traditional classes felt intimidating or inaccessible.

And I knew there was a better way. I saw how the right approach to yoga could help people not only maintain their mobility and reduce aches and pains, but also develop a deeper connection with themselves and their bodies.

That’s why I created Lifelong Yoga Online – to make therapeutic yoga accessible to everyone who wants to age vibrantly, regardless of their current flexibility or fitness level. This isn’t about mastering complex poses or following rigid routines. It’s about finding joy in movement, building strength gradually, and learning to understand and work with your body in a way that serves you for life.

I believe that yoga isn’t just exercise – it’s a powerful tool for maintaining independence, quality of life, and that vital connection between mind and body as we age. And I’m on a mission to help you discover how good it feels to move with confidence and ease, one gentle practice at a time..

Perfect! Many of our members started with zero yoga experience. As a yoga therapist, I’ve designed the Beginner Yoga Journey program to introduce basic movements, yoga concepts, and breathing techniques at a gentle pace. You’ll never feel rushed or pressured.

Yoga is one of the absolute best ways to care for your mind, body, and soul. Because you are getting exercise AND “innercise” at the same time, it feels good to devote your time to practicing yoga. And when you embrace short but effective yoga classes, it’s much easier to stay consistent!

As a Lifelong Yoga member, you also have access to programs and monthly calendars that make it EASY for you to press play and complete your yoga classes. You’ll find it easier than ever to stay consistent, take care of yourself, and make progress toward your goals.

The beauty of home practice is that you don’t need much! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A yoga mat
  • 2 yoga blocks
  • A blanket (any blanket from home will do!)
  • A yoga strap (or a belt or bathrobe tie will work too!)

I’ll provide links to affordable options I recommend for the yoga-specific items. Many members start with what they have at home and gradually add proper equipment as they develop their practice.

I’m passionate about making yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of physical limitations. That’s why I provide plenty of modifications throughout every class for knee pain, shoulder issues, and other mobility concerns. The yoga adapts to fit you – not the other way around. Each class is designed to meet you where you are, with clear alternatives to help you feel confident and supported in your practice.

While I offer some chair-based yoga classes, most of the other practices DO involve getting down to and up from the floor. You should be able to do this independently, even if you need to use a chair or wall for support.

If this is challenging for you, I offer a 3-part “Up and Down” class series specifically designed to help you develop the strength and mobility to get up and down from the floor with ease – though you should feel safe and ready to explore this.

If you’re currently unable to get down to the floor, I recommend working with a physical therapist first to build this capability. The chair yoga classes can be a great supplement to your therapy, but again, they represent only a small portion of the practices.

While the classes are gentle, they’re thoughtfully designed to challenge you appropriately. Many experienced practitioners find that this therapeutic approach helps them refine their alignment and discover new depths in their practice.

After all, the most “advanced” yoga isn’t about complex poses – it’s about the quality of your movement, the subtlety of your breath, and your connection to yourself. Through mindful, intentional practice, you’ll explore the deeper aspects of yoga while maintaining your strength and flexibility. I offer several programs designed to support this journey.

Not at all! If you can watch videos on your computer, tablet, or phone, you can use Lifelong Yoga Online. The platform is designed to be simple – just log in and press play. You’ll have one clear members area where you can find all your classes, and I provide step-by-step guidance for getting started. Plus, I’m here to help if you need any technical support along the way.

I keep it simple! You can cancel anytime directly in your account – no phone calls or emails required. Just log in to your Dashboard, go to “Purchases,” and click “Cancel Membership.”

Once you cancel, you’ll still have access to all of the classes and programs until the end of your payment period. Please note that there are no refunds for partially used membership periods.

You’re never alone on this journey. Beyond the structured programs and monthly calendars, I’m also active in our community daily to answer questions, take class requests, and provide tech support when needed. Plus, every class includes clear instruction and modifications for every body.
